About This Game A coffin-rocking, body-hopping, musical adventure game, set in a horrific hamlet of monsters.Set in a peaceful, blood-curdling village blessed with gorgeous panoramic mountaintop views and the blissful stench of rotting corpses, Wailing Heights is home to the likes of vegan werewolves, hipster vampires, soulful zombies and all manner of well-adjusted supernatural taxpaying home-owners.StoryMeet Frances Finklestein, the one-time manager of the all-time greatest rock band that Great Britain ever produced: The Deadbeats. After being invited to a gig in a town no one's ever heard of, Frances Finklestein is trapped in a holding cell, charged with the crime of... Being Alive! A mysterious cellmate teaches you the power of possession. You learn to “body-hop”, leaving your corpse in the holding cell and jumping from ghost to vampire to werewolf to zombie. Each creature’s skills and abilities bring you one step closer to getting your body out of lock-up and getting the hell out of Wailing Heights. But of course, it’s never that easy…As you jump from one musical monster to another, familiar sounds and faces start up show up. The Deadbeats have returned as the undead, and they want to get the band back together.GameplayIn the style of classic adventure games, you will need to talk to the locals, choosing just the right thing to say (and who to be), collect lyrics as you explore the town, listen to musical clues, and like all great songwriters; steal things from other songs. Add these ingredients to your musical possession wheel, and sing your soul right into a monsters' body, gaining their supernatural abilities and moving one step closer to escaping Wailing Heights.FeaturesA laugh-out-loud script from Kevin Beimers, who brought you tthe critically-defamed Hector: Badge of Carnage (Published by Telltale Games) and Schrödinger’s Cat and the Raiders of the Lost Quark (Published by Team17)Gorgeous comic-book styled visuals and cut-scenes, brought to you by awesome artists such as John Mc Farlane (The Revenants), Glenn Fabry (Preacher), John McCrea (Hitman), PJ Holden (Judge Dredd) and more... Gorgeous looking puzzle game with a terrific body-swap concept that means just having the right item isn't enough - sometimes you have to be the right person, too. The only downside is that it's very short - I breezed through it in under four hours, and few of the puzzles are actually challenging; the clues are all there.. Amazing artwork, great music and unique story. I enjoyed my time playing this game and think that anyone who enjoys the point and click adventure genre would like it too. I also enjoyed the humour and the voice acting and the fact that each character had their own unique ability. With that said, there were a few issues that I had while playing. Switching between the characters was a unique mechanic and I found it pretty fun for a while, but soon became annoyed by it when I had to listen to the character's theme song every time I swapped. I think the developers should have added in some type of option to skip the music. The game was also lacking polish in some places. I came across a lot of pixelated artwork and text and the speech bubbles ran off screen a few times. I think the developer could go back and clean up some of these issues to make the game an even better experience. My character also became stuck at one point and i had to go back and reload a previous save.I also think there could have been more story which actually involved playing the deadbeat characters because there didn't seem to be any point in switching to them once they were unlocked. I also didn't like how some of the character's stories were easily missable if you didn't press the right button in time to see them. I know there is an extras section where these can be watched but it would have been nicer for these to just automatically load and give the option to skip them for those who aren't interested in the story.7/10. a very interesting game you control a ghost, a vampire, a zombie, and a werewolf, and at the end you fight a bagpipe playing rock mummy.. A good but glitchy P&C.Its specifics:- Fully voice-acted, high quality- Gamepad-friendly- Unusual inventory; no descriptions, no combinations... everything is used through dialogue- Cut-scenes in the form of comics pages- Music-themed- Interchangeable bodies with different abilities, dialogues and voicesToday is list-day, so here are the flaws:- The art is cool, but some animations are weak, notably the depth movements.- Imprecise hit-boxes require precise movement adjustments (minor annoyance.)- Protagonist sometimes blocked by an object or character, with fidgeting required to unblock.- The sound is good but sometimes marred by post-production issues, notably uneven volumes.- One obscure dialogue option changes its result after a specific event occurrs, in an unfair progression roadblock.- A few minor glitches, not worth detailing, add to the impression of lack of polish.Still enjoyable and worth playing thanks to the art, humour and game mechanics. Progress is intuitive (with a couple of exceptions.) The voicing and music bring all the life and atmosphere of this title. Expect a lot of back and forth in a well designed small world.. Unfortunately, even though it has a cool premise, the game itself is far from fun. Because it is EXTREMELY technically incompetent and primitive with TRULY UGLY control scheme for keyboard, to the point that it is ridiculous. Also, it has bugs, one of which prevents me to even continue. All in all I won't recommend it, even though the idea is cool and music is also not bad, but the final game they made is simply not good at all, with poor technical qualities and amateur voice acting. Sad :(. Really enjoyed this game really liked the art style. Its different to other point & click games with the music mixed in with it.I did enjoy the story. The game isn't to long at about 6 hours.I didn't come across any bugs like others have said.It can get a bit confussing at times as you control quite afew different charcters.. Although I'd say this game brings outstanding gameplay elements, and offers a genuinely good experience. As of right now, it's much too buggy. I've been sent outside of the map several times, and some times, it can ruin any progression you've made thus far. I'll have to check back in later to see if these glitches have been patched.Edit: Turns out whatever was wrong with my game, had to do with my FPS. Even though I had a problem, I don't want it to turn anybody off from this game. If you're half interested, just buy it. It's a super fun and entertaining, and the developers seem super cool and on top of things! New Track!
